Feeling crafty? Take a dive into modern quilt patterns!

Hi there!

As we step into the heart of March, there's something about this time of year that just beckons me to sit down at my sewing machine, and immerse myself in the vibrant world of fabrics. It's like the unfolding spring outside our windows whispers to us to create, to bring new life into the world through our art. And oh, how I've been riding that wave of inspiration, my friend!

You know, this past year has been a whirlwind of transformation for me. From stepping away from a life that no longer served me to embracing the fullness of my passion for quilting and crafting and now tattooing (!!!), every bit of creativity I've felt lately feels like a testament to this journey of rediscovery and joy. And I just can't wait to share the fruits of this journey with you all!

In the spirit of new beginnings and heartfelt creativity, I wanted to shine some light on my quilt patterns again. These patterns aren't just designs; they're stories, each with its own voice and vibe, waiting to be told through your unique touch.

Modern Quilt Patterns

The Sunset Quilt is a modern one-block negative space quilt pattern that utilizes curves and strips to make a bold statement. The design is inspired by the way light shines through clouds as the sun sets, rays shooting out from the glowing orb disappearing over the horizon.

The Half Light Quilt is an ode to the time in between day and night, the dreamy diurnal twilight where almost anything is possible. This pattern was designed with sustainability in mind, with minimal scraps leftover after completion of the quilt top.

Originally published in Make Modern Magazine, the Moon Guide Quilt pattern walks you through making semicircle curves and no-waste flying geese. This pattern features plentiful negative space, to focus on the guides. Moon Guide is best suited for very confident beginners or intermediate sewists.

Columbia Quilt Pattern

The Columbia Quilt is a (confident) beginner skill level modern quilt pattern inspired by the striking beauty of the columbia basin and plateau; a place I spent a huge chunk of my childhood in. The Columbia river was a huge part of my life, a part of travels and for a lot of my life, the columbia was just geographically nearby. The background of everything, a reference point.

I invite you, my dear quilting companion, to join me in this dance of threads and fabrics. Let's pour our hearts and souls into our creations, finding solace, joy, and maybe even a bit of ourselves along the way. And remember, in the world of quilting, every piece is a reflection of our journey, every color a chapter of our story.

Thank you for being such an integral part of this vibrant community. Your passion, your stories, and your creations inspire me every day to keep dreaming and stitching. So, here's to us, to the magic of March, and to the incredible quilts we'll create together! I look forward to chatting with you again soon!

With all my heart,

Paige
